To my mum - as read at the funeral...Pete x
I’m very proud and honoured to be my mother’s son
To think what she has lived through, think what she has done.
But I would not be here, and you would not be there,
So, to know she’s not now with us, doesn’t seem quite fair.
I’m very proud and honoured to be my mother’s son
To remember all the good times, the laughter and the fun.
The very rarest grumblings, the occasional little row,
The world was always put to right by Don’t Stop Me Now.
I’m very proud and honoured, to be my mother’s son,
But with family and friends like you I’m not the only one,
I think we all feel honoured, to know her as we did
To gather here, and say farewell, her final journey bid.
I’m very proud to stand here, as the setting sun
Dips again, to come around, brings light to everyone,
And in that light, we should find joy, let us not be sad,
We know she’s out there somewhere, frolicking with dad.

So sorry to hear of dear Helga's passing. Our thoughts are with Peter and Claire and their families. Many happy memories when you were our wonderful neighbour in Reading. How you used to call our daughter Sarah a 'dollop of delight'! You were such fun to be with. You loved your family so much. The tree you planted from Norway is higher than the house now! Farewell dear Helga with our love and prayers the Cobbold family xxxx

We remember our fun times at Soterios, our 'garden parties' and our interesting conversations. We will miss you very much.
You can walk on the beach forever now.
Always in our hearts.
With love
Diana and Josie
